We bought our Palisade December 2019 and it has been in the dealership service 5 times for both driver and passenger side wind noise. The service department has changed seals on both sides, adjusted window channels. All of these “fixes” have not changed the wind noise that we are hearing. The last time we took it in to service was March 17, 2020 and the service department said it was fixed. Husband picked it up and returned a few minutes later as problem was not resolved. Service kept it over night and the service manager was working on it. He took ours out and returned to the dealership where then he completely took off the mirrors, covered holes with tape and took it back out onto the interstate and found there was no noise. He also took a new Palisade off of the lot and took it out and same wind noise was replicated in new Palisade straight off of the lot. Service manage notated all that wind noise is significant with mirrors on and no noise with them taken off. Service manager opened a case file and so have we.
Fast forward to case manager discussion. She told us there is no defect and that there is no fix. Basically brushed us off and basically was telling us to live with it, deal with it and that Hyundai will not be looking for a fix. Husband was not satisfied with this answer as there definitely is a design flaw with the mirrors that they are causing wind turbulence and a noticeable noise within the cabin. He said for a brand new vehicle that is roughly $50,000, this should not be an issue.
Hyundai case manager has now passed us on to another case manager that looks into vehicle buy back and lemon laws. To me, I find it sad that Hyundai seems to be brushing numerous complaints of this wind noise aside and are now looking into buy backs.
As of now, I do NOT recommend Hyundai Palisade to anyone.

Sorry for your problems with the Palisade. Guess I was one of the lucky ones, no problems at all.
There are thousands of us who do not get the wind noise or we keep the radio to loud.
Hope this works out for you

Just picked my Palisade up yesterday and immediately heard the wind noise you are referring to. It's rather pronounced, but made even more noticeable by the otherwise quiet cabin. This seems like a design flaw that would have been caught in the wind tunnel testing most manufacturers conduct. I plan to write about it in a review. The power of social media reviews may garner Hyundai's attention. There's so much positive content on the web about this model, critical review comments may be overlooked. Worth a try.

This brings back memories, Nissan had the same issue with the 2013 Altima. It too was the mirrors, mine had the issue and they hadn’t fixed it after a few trips to the dealer. I remember it was a very easy fix, seems like I may have done it myself or told them how to after reading what the fix was. I remember I could stop it with a piece of painters tape. I’ll have to see if I can look up what the cause was, might be similar.
I hear a little bit of wind noise on my Palisade, but not bad at all. Only drove it a week before the lockdown and the radio was on so I may be worse then I think.

Update; on the other car to was the plastic cover on the bottom of the mirror. A little tape on it stopped the noise, but the dealer replaced the mirrors in the end with a corrected version. It took almost 6 months for them to come up with a permanent fix. Hope Hyundai figures it out!

Yup, that was me posting the photo. I hate how photobucket messed up all my posts. I knew all the problems on that car, amazing how much I forgot already!

About a month ago, the Hyundai dealership replaced the weather stripping under warranty on the 2020 Palisade as per our wind noise complaint. The repair was not successful as the wind noise is still there. I am searching for window air deflectors in an attempt to solve the problem but have not found any to fit. Am I happy? No I am not happy, I actually dread driving the Palisade as I know what I'm in for. I am also experiencing road vibrations in the steering wheel and floor. Is any one else experiencing this? There is much said about a quiet cab and the work put into sound deadening by Hyundai. If this is a quiet cab, I would hate to drive a noisy one. On the previous repair day at the dealership, I was given a Santa Fe as a loaner vehicle and was surprised at the very serene ride of this vehicle compared to my Palisade. I also do not like the engine off feature and turn it off when I can. I am not happy.

It is the Ultimate with selectable drive modes. The vibrations are at most speeds , however, the better the roads the better the ride.

They all have drive modes. The question is, do you have terrain modes, like Mud, Sand, Snow, which would imply that you have the AWD version.

I have a Limited AWD with about 400 miles on it now. We don't get to drive much due to the Coronavirus lockdown. However, we noticed the wind noise starting about 55-60mph. Because of the current situation, I have not taken it to a dealer. I am hopeful that by the time the virus issue is resolved, Hyundai will have a true fix for the issue. I have not noticed any vibration at highway speeds.

Yes, the vehicle has the terrain mode feature.

Hadn't noticed any wind noise in our palisade limited until yesterday.
Wife rolled down the window and is still mad at me.

I have an AWD Limited edition and drove it today for the first time with the windows down. At 55mph and above, the noise on the passenger side front window was like being in a helicopter. The noise and buffering was so bad, I had to put the windows back up.

That buffeting noise is something That happens in many large SUV's, If only one window is down
My Genesis G90 was a car but couldn't put a rear window down without getting the same thing.
Had to have the front window down at the same time.
Does it do it if a rear window is down or the passenger window is down to. Might want to try a rear
window open at the same time. it should brake up that chamber effect
We don't have any wind noise, other than the wind noise I made one day when wife was in car.
She is still not happy. I haven't tried the drivers window down alone yet.
Just a question is this the first SUV you have owned? I have noticed a number of things really
different with SUV's compared to a car. This is our first SUV.

Isn’t as bad when driver’s window also down.
Rear passenger side window down, sound is no better.
When driver‘s window only down, noise is no where as bad as passenger side only window down.

Having heard a lot of good stuff about Palisade I recently test drove it and we instantly loved the vehicle. Such a joy to drive this car. I tried to check for wind noise on freeway but could not hear anything prominent. However so far almost every owner complained about wind noise. May be I was not too observant. Do 2021 models still have this problem ?
Wind noise issue is the only factor now holding me back. Sadly I didnot like any other USV in this category. We tried Telluride also, but Palisade has much better interior.

Not everyone has complained about wind noise, I've had mine over a year and never any noise.
There are several hundred who have had wind noise, maybe even up to one thousand.
Then again they have sold over 85,000 Palisades.
I'm not making excuses for Hyundai not finding a solution for the ones which do have the wind noise
You should always test drive the Palisade or any other vehicle before buying. Take it over 70 mph
listen and check for any unpleasant odors.
We like ours very much
